The thing about coaching is that everyone is doing it. How do you choose a coach? My advice is to go with the chemistry. That's what I do, and as a result I seem to find that I coach particular types of people. These tend to be, senior people who are technically very skilled, with a high EQ who want to move into a role leading change and growing a team.
So my coaching focus is on enabling people to use a new professional experience to grow / integrate a hidden part of themselves. I use a well-known coaching framework (The 7 C's) which I combine with a senior management perspective on politics and systems. The goal for people I coach is usually met when they are working with confidence and starting to have fun - in a more generalist area than where they started.
Does this sound like something you would like to talk about? Then do get in touch.
